Shanghai Helong Art Gallery(Great North Street No.208-212)

Dear visitors, welcome to the Zhujiajiao Exhibition Hall of the Helong Art Museum in Shanghai. This gallery is located in Miaoqulou, a charming Jiangnan-style building on Beidajie Street. The first-floor corridor facing the street is adorned with exquisite wood carvings of auspicious motifs such as fairy mountains and cranes among flowers. The second-floor veranda features traditional railings decorated with swastika motifs, adding an antique charm. Entering the courtyard reveals a peaceful space—sunlight spills into the central patio, bamboo sways gently in the breeze, and the skywalks above interweave the space with elegance. The highlight is the riverside corridor on the second floor, offering one of the best views in Zhujiajiao. Look across the river to see the ancient Yuanjin Zen Temple with its flying eaves, and in the distance, the famous Fangsheng Bridge bustling with tourists—like a living painting of a Jiangnan water town.

The museum features the treasured collection of Director Mr. Guo Weizhong, especially renowned for its masterpieces of Haipai (Shanghai-style) painting and ancient Chinese lacquerware. Here, visitors can admire original works by masters like Zhang Daqian, Tang Yun, and Cheng Shifa, and feel the poetic charm of ink and brush from the south of the Yangtze River. The collection also includes exquisite Qing Dynasty lacquerware, particularly imperial pieces from the Qianlong period, each demonstrating extraordinary craftsmanship and aesthetic refinement. Every object is a unique work of art, embodying the spirit and philosophy of Chinese culture.

The new Helong Art Museum is located on Qingsong Road in Qingpu District, facing Qingxi Garden. In the future, it will continue to explore the fusion of Jiangnan culture and traditional arts, promoting cultural heritage and regional development.
