City God Temple
City God Temple is situated at Caohe street in the center of the town. It covers an area of seven Mu(15mu equals 1 hectare). The original site of the temple was in Xue Jiabang in the south of the town. In the twenty-eighth year of Qianlong Period , Cheng Lvji, a merchant from Huizhou, removed the temple here in 1881 which became a palace for Qingpu City God. The City God is a protector loved by the people, whose name is Shen en, the governor of Sichuan Province during Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty. After his death, he was granted the title of Qingpu City God and the title of "Xianling Count". The City God Temple was damaged many times during the wars, but a lot of believers still came to worship. There are three treasures in the temple, the ancient stage, the big abacus and the Ginkgo biloba.
